Snow...sliding...and a layout!!!

Check out all the snow in my front yard so far this winter.....and just think we get most of our snow in March...wow maybe my house will get buried....I'll be inside scrapping away!!!

Hey everybody!!! Just wanted to share a layout I made of my boys!!! This was one of my favorite moments on Christmas Eve they were tickling each other and turned around to look at me and this is what I captured!!! Brothers!!! Love it!!!

We managed to take advantage of the beautiful sunshine yesterday and get some sliding in near our house...we got a huge dumping of snow on friday so there was lots of fresh new powder for the kids to enjoy!

I got my tickets!!!!

I've started counting the sleeps til I can see him live and in person!!! I'ts only 6 months...oooohhh I just can't wait!!!!

Hi there everybody!!!

Sorry it took me so long to post my new layouts. I've been scrapping a whole lot lately with my new found passion for scrapbooking! I'm really trying to use up alot of my old supplies and of course some new ones too! I really have to get rid of some stuff, it's amazing what one can aquire after a while. Thanks so much for all of your comments lately, they mean so much to me! I will continue to post new layouts every so often, thanks for visiting & have a great weekend!

The Snowman showed up this year......

Just wanted to share some pics of the huge snowman my kids and my hubs made this weekend!

I am ready to tell you my story;

Well I wish that I could tell you that I was on some remote island,,,surfing, sunning, drinking long island teas, relaxing on the beach for the last month; but the truth is that I was here at home all that time! So what the heck was I doing you wonder?

Nothing,,,well not totally true, I was still mommy, and wife, and cook, maid, and all of my other titles but I was not a scrapbooker! Not even a blogger,,,I completely stepped away~~~ away from creating, from stalking, from talking to anyone about scrapping! I really felt weird about closing up Scrapping Out Loud and letting it go was tough on me,,,,I couldn't even take the blinkie off until yesterday! At first I wasn't sure why it was so hard to let it go, I guess I was so stuck in the rut of it all, creating my layouts for the blog every tuesday became a big part of my scrapping but the only problem with that was,,,it was the only scrapping I was doing! Really, I got together once in a while with a couple friends to scrap but usually to do my layouts for SOL! And once it was all gone I felt like a huge phony, a fake, here I was this lady who ran a challenge blog but I could barely keep up doing my pages for the blog! I am a sahm and beleive me I have time to scrap but I just couldn't get going. I lost my mojo, my will to scrap, my creativity! I decided it was time to step away and see if I could or would ever want to scrap again! In some ways I didn't miss it, or even look at my scrap space! My family wondered and asked if I was okay, and of course I said yeah, just need some time off! But the truth was, I wasn't sure if I wanted to come back ,until this weekend.

I sat with a friend and told her about why I was not scrapping and still I couldn't say that I felt like I was this big fake! I didn't have my act together and I was barely hangin on and nobody knew it but me. I really can't explain why my mojo dried up and left, but what I do know is I want to get back,,,get back to scrapping the way I did in the beginning,,, with passion, and purpose! I think that is what was missing the last year of scrapping, I felt that I was scrapping to get my layout in on time,,,to complete it before tuesday rolled along! I'd forgotten why I even began scrapping and worried about the latest products and latest techniques! I'd felt the pressure to keep up, and I just couldn't, not anymore!
You are probably wondering why I've decided to tell you all this story, but I'm not, I'm telling you my story because I needed to tell it to somebody and who better than scrapbookers out there who may struggle in the same way!

Well I've decided to scrap again, to blog, to admire, to be inspired! I am here to scrap for me and for my kids!

I will miss Scrapping Out Loud and I treasure all that it gave to me, but it was time, time to say goodbye and hello to the old me again! Thanks for listening, I'm so glad you guys showed up, you totally made my day!

You better go grab a cup of coffee....cuz this will be a long post!! K..got one too! Well this is my very last pg for Scrapping Out Loud and it was very hard to make just knowing it was going to be the last one. Our challenge this week was to use all the colours in the rainbow. I took my inspiration from the cosmo cricket background paper which had all the colours in it already and I went from there! I'm really going to miss doing the challenges every week and seeing all of the dt's pages too. We were so blessed to have such wonderful dt's and wonderful scrappers playing along each week. Your support for Scrapping Out Loud for the past 2 years has been so wonderful and so appreciated, from the bottom of my heart I thank you and will miss you!

We've had such a busy couple of weeks in our house, from band concerts, piano concerts, company, and christmas concerts, not to forget getting ready for christmas, making ornaments, holiday baking, decorating, and wrapping gifts....(I cheat a little by using lots of gift bags)So that is why I haven't had much time to blog lately and I'm so missing it! Scrapping Out Loud's Big News....and my page!

The new challenge is up at Scrapping Out Loud along with some major news!!! We are announcing today that at the end of December we will no longer be posting any challenges and are hanging it up! Yeah I'm pretty sad to see it go but it is time!!!! I want to thank everyone of you from the bottom of my heart for being there for us since we started it until today thru then end of December. We wouldn't have been going this long without all of you and all of you who played along each week. You guys are amazing scrappers....keep creating, keep scrapping, keep in touch! & I will too!!! A layout and an update on my pooch!

Hi, Hope you are all enjoying the weekend! I just wanted to share a layout that I did last week before all the chaos of the attack! It was a layout about my boys climbing the hay bales at the pumpkin patch. I loved the pics I took that day especially these ones because my boys are so close and it was very evident that day! You see they are 8 years apart and sometimes age is a factor between brothers. My oldest son is such wonderful big brother (don't get me wrong...things aren't always perfect between them) but for the most part Brendan is very patient with his little brother. I hope that Nick will remember how his big brother always included him and helped him out! I felt a huge reward as a mother watching the boys that day, I saw the love, the friendship, and the fun that my boys share! (If you want to read the journalling just click on it and it will enlarge it!)

*a quick update on Nellie, I took her to the vet yesterday for a check up and to take a drain out of her ear, she is doing well. Everyday we see improvements....she is now more willing to go outside for a walk around the yard. I was pretty worried about her emotional scars, they say that dogs live in the moment and I was totally re-living the attack everyday so I wasn't really helping her, but now I've moved on and so has she. Thanks for all your well wishes, they helped us get through the tough days.

Scrapping Out Loud Challenge.....and a few busy busy days

I'm so sorry for such a late post on my tuesday challenge page; we were to use hidden journalling on our layouts!!! Mine isn't too hard to find...it actually goes in a bit more but I pulled it out to show you all!!! It's a little note to my new baby niece...welcoming her to the family and telling her how beautiful she is and we are so happy to finally meet her!

I've had a really busy couple of days around here...my dog nellie was brutally attacked outside on tuesday morning by an animal of some kind and left with severe wounds...and emotional scars that are going to take sometime to get over. So I've been kind of busy trying to help her heal and deal with everything, she is so scared to even go outside to the bathroom. (your prayers are definitely needed)

Thanks for all the birthday wishes here, on the phone, and on facebook I had a pretty good birthday despite my dog's injuries. We had a wonderful supper cooked by my hubs and he even baked this cake for me!!! It was super delicious!!! Thanks Brock you are the best husband in the whole world!!! Love u!

A few pics and a page to share......

Hi, Hope your Halloween was fun!!! Ours was a blast! My older son opted not to trick or treat this year, he's 12 now so I guess he's done! We decked our house out with spoooooky things...didn't get everything out this year like the grave yard (we just didn't have time). Now onto Christmas right? Oh my gosh I saw people decorating their yards already with Christmas decorations...I guess it's smart to do it early with the cold weather fast approaching but come on people give it a week. We usually wait until after Santa Parade around November 25th, When do you decorate for Christmas?

It's all about Time.......Scrapping Out Loud Challenge

My page for Scrapping Out Loud this week! We were to scrap about time!!! I scrapped about the first day of school, I haven't added journaling to it, but I will, that was a major event this year for my kids; they began at a new school, rode the bus for the first time, made new friends, new routines!!! I was so darn proud of them, they are off to a great start!!! Way to go kids!!!!

Sunday Family Fun!!!

It was a gorgeous, warm fall day so we took advantage of the warm weather and decided to visit a local pumpkin farm. We were surprised to see more than just pumkins and a corn maze. They had a spooky house, hay bales, zip line, wagon rides, sling shot, petting zoo, and of course lots of wonderful pumpkins!!! I was sooo glad we took the kids there and we are all looking forward to going back next year!!! Have a great day!!!

Just a few pics from our visit back home a couple of weeks ago.....me and my parents!
Aren't they cute, my dad is 80 and my mom is younger!!!! It was a great visit and made me want to move again!! I miss them so much! They were supposed to come this weekend for thanksgiving but didn't travel due to the weather, we had snow up here already....it sucks!
